Global warming is a multi-billion dollar industry! The most expensive secret you’re not supposed to know is that George W. Bush leaves office with the planet cooler than when he entered. This dangerous trend threatens the multi-billion dollar “global warming” industry, adding new urgency to the ritual shriek of “we must act now!” in the scramble to impose a costly regime of mandates and energy taxes.
The global warming industry’s tactics already range from comical to reprehensible. As a result of a cooling atmosphere, you are distracted with irrelevant surface temperatures. This is possibly because more than 90% of our surface thermometer network is in violation of rules for locating the instruments. For example, why are so many now on asphalt parking lots, black tar roofs and even airport tarmacs?
Like the great eugenics scam that lead to the horrors of the holocaust, such childishness is only the tip of the iceberg of outrages employed to advance an ideological agenda. Schools torment those whom they are charged with protecting from abuse, with scaremongering of the consequences of global warming and night terrors among the less egregious outcomes.
Palm oil should know this first hand, having been the target of the hyperventilating chief protagonists of the global warming scam, the curiously named Friends of the Earth (FOE) and Greenpeace.
Publishing pictures of legitimate agricultural land being prepared for palm oil cultivation as “pictorial proof” of the “massive deforestation” caused by palm oil, both FOE and Greenpeace are guilty of the gutter activism that is so prevalent in these times.
Using “scientific methods” that would have failed to pass muster for a high school science project, the activists procured the assignment of the arbitrary carbon emission saving figure of 32 to palm oil to deliberately make it fall below the acceptable thresh hold level of 35 % which is used as the minimum level accepted for biofuel raw material in the EU. Ironically, a default carbon emission saving figure of 36 % was assigned to rapeseed oil in the EU.
Just how such obvious shenanigans could escape the attention of the EU Environmental Agency is baffling to say the least! After all, it is well established that palm oil is the most productive of all oilseeds. In fact, it is so productive that one hectare of palm oil can yield 4.5 metric tons of edible oil, close to ten times the yield of its nearest competitors (such as rapeseed, soy and sunflower which typically yields 0.5 metric tons per hectare). Even to the uninitiated, it is obvious that palm oil requires ten times LESS land to yield the same amount of oil as its competitors!
If proper LCA studies were conducted, it is clear that palm oil with its high leaf index and carbon sink properties would easily achieve a carbon emission saving figure of close to 100, making it the ideal feedstock for bio-fuels.
In the view of the Palm Oil truth Foundation such obvious manipulation of carbon emission saving figures by environmental bodies to try to preclude palm oil is misguided at best and downright dishonest and protectionist, at worst. If the EU governments turn a blind eye to this clear manipulation of figures, they too stand indicted of colluding with disreputable NGO’s such as the FOE and Greenpeace by erecting indirect trade barriers to the importation of palm oil as a legitimate raw material for bio-fuels, a clear violation of WTO rules! THE END.

It never ceases to amaze me how gullible people are. Even lemmings would have the brains to figure out that something gives with all this global warming and palm oil crap from FOE and Greenpeace. Why, So Cal was snowing just two weeks ago, something that's virtually unheard of. Global warming indeed! Posted by Kirsty Kool, on March 4, 2009 at 11:29
dear it's great but according to me,Global Warming is defined as the increase of the average temperature on Earth. As the Earth is getting hotter, disasters like hurricanes, droughts and floods are getting more frequent.Over the last 100 years, the average temperature of the air near the Earth´s surface has risen a little less than 1° Celsius (0.74 ± 0.18°C, or 1.3 ± 0.32° Fahrenheit). Does not seem all that much? It is responsible for the conspicuous increase in storms, floods and raging forest fires we have seen in the last ten years, though, say scientists. Their data show that an increase of one degree Celsius makes the Earth warmer now than it has been for at least a thousand years. Out of the 20 warmest years on record, 19 have occurred since 1980. The three hottest years ever observed have all occurred in the last eight years, Posted by sandy, on February 18, 2009 at 15:55
I don't find any difference between FOE, Greenpeace and the Somali pirates. They all rob you blind....'cept FOE and Greenpeace do it with a little more guile. All thoroughly crooked criminal minds though! Posted by The Full Monty, on February 14, 2009 at 11:11
Hah. FoE and Greenpeace. Train wrecks in the making that makes a compelling story! Posted by Shadow, on February 14, 2009 at 11:03
FOE and Greenpeace? Always thought that they were the conscience of the green movement. I'm not so sure now! Posted by Joanne, on February 13, 2009 at 10:17
It sure looks like FOE and Greenpeace are indulging in gutter activism on palm oil. There's a lotta apocalyptic-speak, invaluable to hermetic sages but incendiary in the hands of supposedly conscionable green advocates. Posted by T. Claiborne, on February 13, 2009 at 9:43
